Time for 3rd oil change already, and diff service!!!

 

I got two free oil changes with my purchase. I got the first one done at 5,000 miles (Like I do on all my cars) even though the oil indicator said it was at 64%.

 

My maintenance plan by Acura till 2029. I don't have to pay anything they said. Good for all dealers nationwide.

 

It all depends on your needs and budget. I do have the maintenance plan. It is the Acuracare. Be advised that this plan hinges on indicators. So for instance, there has the be a notice that the car generated before maintenance can be done.

 

Oh like the indicator B1. Now after service it is indicator A. I guess that means good. Right?
Before I used to service my car ( any of my cars) every 5000 miles or once a year since I retired. I believe that is a good practice, right.

 

Why do you ask?

 

Curious to know is that a good idea? I do that because dealer talk me into it. So don't have to worry about price increase of any item per maintenance.

 

I mean in advance when you purchase the vehicle.

My problem is that I've had my Type-S for about 2 months, but have over 6K miles on it. I may be having way too much fun, or finding any excuse to drive it...

I'm a road warrior for work and decided this was the year I was going to get a new car. Bought my Type S in June and already have over 8,000 miles on it. Probably 55-60% from highway/interstate driving.

Obviously love the sport/sport+ modes when I'm looking to have some fun, but don't sleep on comfort mode either (literally). It's a smoooth cruiser when doing long-haul trips. Love this car.

 

Agreed. I am retired and I got 5800 miles on it. Gas mileage sounds pretty good. I have not evan try the spot+ yet. The normal mode can get me into 100 mph. How about your Tyre? Recently I heard some road noise in my car when I come back from PA to VA.

M1 = Mobil 1 extended performance/extended life is synthetic comes in multiple grades.

 

Use M1 extended life/extended performance and just change per the maintenance minder. M1 extended life is good for 20,000 miles.

What M1 extended life?? Are you talking about synthetic oil? Any way I just finished the service. Pretty good and I paid for all the service till 2029. I am good.

60% is still usually good oil life. I had my first oil change a little after 3000 miles. Try looking up that code "B1" in the owners's manual.

 

I look up B1 meaning Tyre rotation, and some other checking. I am making appointment for service.

This is a very good question. I got my two months ago but someone hit my car and one month in the shop. I already pass 5000 miles. One time I drove to Philadelphia forget something I drove right back to Leesburg VA. Yes you are normal that love to drive your Type S. Same here 😂😂😂

 

I be in that area sometimes maybe I’ll see you out there one day or something. 😎
