Just updated my Navigation system with 2021 maps. I have a 2017 Acura TLX. The maps were provided by acuranavi.navation.com for about $175. They installed nicely in about 45 minutes, engine running. But it takes an additional 4 hours of interment driving to get them fully loaded.
But I had to clear up two concerns many have had about the instructions. Some might consider this info useful:.
1. The instructions simply say don't insert the CDs into the DVD player. But they don't actually say to insert them into the front seat CD player, not that the front seat ever has even had DVD players! So the front seat CD player is correct place for the Cds. (later models might use a USB memory device)
2. Part of the instructions call for using a Navigation Password. But researching this it seems the password was a feature on much earlier models, fortunately not mine. The bypass for this, when encountered, is to simply hold down the Audio On button for two seconds. If you have an older model that requires a password, there is a link provided to look it up if unavailable.
Will post an update if the final load has problems.
