Thanks for the response. I for one do not give a damn what the EPA and those corrupt bastards think. This feature is a safety hazard, pain and simple. It needs to be ended just like Trump did with the onerous CAFE standards. The battery is two years old and a battery specified for the car, which I replaced because of this issue. It had no effect, the feature does not work. A feature of this type needs to work 100% of the time or it does not work at all. Again it is a safety hazard.
What amazes me is that the design is so bad as to be this faulty that one would think there world be an official work around. I am well aware of how to turn it off but, every time I forget to do so, it strands me.
I stand by my statement that Acura hates their customers and wants them to die in their vehicles as the SOLE reason that they will not offer a workaround to this horrible function. The way I have been treated by Acura on this is at best condescending. Everything bur the curt "FY".
