Transmission fluid replacement - timing and cost

Recently brought my 2015 TLX AWD (33K miles) into the dealership for a B 1 service. An hour in they came up to me and recommended that I also do the transmission fluid replacement, which "Acura suggests at 30K miles." And they charged me $399 for the transmission fluid replacement service itself. Wouldn't the maintenance minder have indicated if I needed the transmission fluid replaced, and doesn't it seem that doing it at 33K miles is a bit aggressive? Feels as though I've been taken. Have always had my car serviced at this dealer, in fact this is the third Acura I've bought from them and had serviced there in the past 14 years.

I've had only Accords (until last week, when we got our first TLX) and although the 1st gen TLX shares Engines with the Accords, they do not share transmissions. No question - Honda makes great engines - but they are not known for making good Auto Transmissions. With my Accords, I was changing my transmission fluid 2x as often as the manual recommends. I was doing just a drain and fill, which only changes out about 1/2 of the fluid at a time.

Side note: I have a trusted quicky oil change place (sounds impossible I know) that I've been using since 1992. I tested him out several times to be sure he's honest. He never tried to sell me something that I didn't already know I needed, even when I gave him the opportunity to do so. With that said, he only charges $49.99 for a Honda DW1 fluid change. Again - this only changes out a portion of the fluid - it's not a full fluid exchange. He said that Honda's (at least Accords) just have a drain plug and it's empty and fill - that's why he charges less for Honda's than other makes that have to have the transmission pan dropped.
