Just want to know of those of you who have taken delivery, how do you find the posted MPG or L/100km as compared to real driving conditions?
On my third tank now.
I seem to average 35.5 MPG on the highway and 28 combined city/highway in Sport mode using premium gasoline. 75% of my driving is interstate/turnpike. I never just drive in the city alone. Once I take a long trip out of town on the highway, I will manually check the mileage.
I am happy I get this much in Sport. I wonder if the computer can be trusted?
Interesting, I think I see the opposite behavior with mine. I passed the magic mark of the 600 mile brake-in last Saturday and started driving in Sport, which is tremendously enjoyable, btw. I see the revs stay high when I let my foot off the gas after accelerating and I actually use paddle shifters to up shift to overdrive (7th, 8th) to quickly bring the rpms down. I have the I4 FWD.The only thing i have noticed that may contribute to this is when I take the foot off the gas in 'Sport' the rev's drop to the bottom straight away, but when in normal it holds the revs higher so on flats it can hold it for 15-20 seconds keeping me in 80 kms for that period then slowly dropping off. Sport it drops the second i lift off the gas.
Very nice mileage. Especially in Econ. I thought I heard someone say they didn't save much with Econ over Normal or Sport, but you sure did. That's great.Wow! That's approaching the fuel economy of the ILX hybrid which costs about the same as a TLX i4 Tech. We climate change believers have found a good alternative to luxury hybrids in the TLX. I posted this in the gallery but have now seen how to insert graphics thumbnails using the little buttons. (The graphic showed up in the preview but not in the post.)
