Wheel Nut Torque Specs?

28272 Views 9 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  andre12dbsi
I received my TLX from the dealer with the winter tires mounted (on the original tech elite rims)

This weekend, I will finally get to mount the 19" Diamond Cut wheels and summer tires that came with the Launch Kit.

Does anyone know what the wheel nut torque spec should be? I have searched around a bit, but couldn't find any reference for the TLX.

(in the manual, the only reference I could find to wheel nut torque was for the spare tire... it was 80 lbf.ft.... are the "real wheels" the same?)

Not that I can answer your question, but I believe the TSX was 80 ftlb.

Wonder if it would be the same.

I believe the owners manual should state this
If not i'll see what I can find.

Asking a service adviser might help, they shouldn't have a problem with finding that out for you.
Any Honda I've driven with the 5x114.3 bolt pattern has been 80lbs.

I've done a bit of searching online and I couldn't find anything specific to the TLX. It may be too new. I'll keep looking.
I saw the info in the owners manual that says 80lbs that you pointed out. I'd go with that.
Thanks, all. I will go with 80 unless anyone else chimes in.

I'll certainly let you know if I encounter an problems with that.

Hi Bruce. I was looking through the accessory instructions and came across the 19 inch wheels. At the bottom of the document it does in fact say 80lbs.

Thanks so much for the peace of mind.

(I have been running for a week at 80, and nothing bad has happened so far)

(Do you have some special access with Honda? I could not access that link. I got a "not authorized..." message)
Not that I'm aware of. I just clicked it and it still works. That's strange. It's just a link from a post that Willy put up a few months ago. I just found it today.
I checked the accessory installation site again today and I cannot access it. They must have noticed the increased traffic.
