The more time I spend with this car the more I love it and it's not just the fact that it's a technological marvel but also the little things that I notice and and find very useful and have never had in any of my previous cars.

I just noticed these little hooks on the B pillars that serve the purpose of hanging a jacket. Isn't it awesome?

I don't have to throw my jacket on the backseat anymore and let my dogs dance on it :)

Today I discovered the rotating the left selector volume control on the steering wheel will NOT change the MID screen display but the right control wheel does..... this was before my cup of coffee.

I had the radio off I'm rotating it wondering why does it display "system off".... I just wanted to see tire pressure... and the system is off? Then latter in my commute after the coffee kicked in.... I got it! Wrong wheel idiot.
It's all good

Turning the big main control knob when in reverse brightens/dims the rear view camera display. Leaving the mirror control in L or R tilts the mirror down in reverse.
I knew about the mirror... did not know about the screen dimming while in reverse! Nice find.

Speaking of tire pressure (above post)... has anyone experienced the tire refill audio indicator when filling the tires? That sounds handy.

Tried to close the trunk with my computer bag in back and the lid kept popping back open like it was possessed. Figured out the issue quickly enough - I keep my fob in the bag (wife is the primary) - so just ended up bringing the darn bag up front. The proximity sensor in the trunk is a neat feature.
That happened to me when I picked up my 2011 TL SH-AWD Tech 4 years ago. I put the envelope in the trunk with the fob in it and called the sales guy when I couldn't close it and he quickly pointed out the issue. You can never lock yourself out

Is that what that was? Coolio. When I hit 30 lbs in each tire, I heard something and just thought it was some other noise at the station. Technology is soooo handy. Thanks for that!

My wife and I went to granddaughter's soccer game. She decided to leave her purse in the trunk and not take it with her. :)

I put the purse in the trunk but the trunk wouldn't close. :(

I put the purse under the front seat and tried to lock the car and the car wouldn't lock.::crying::

I then remembered that she had her FOB in the purse. :D

I took the FOB out of the purse and put it in my pocket and life was good. >:D

Doesn't she complain when she is in the bag?:(

Knew about the mirrors but the brightness is new.

Thanks.

It is neat. There is a light beep and the lights flash. I experienced that when I made my mess with the tire sealant.

Explain how this works please. When I put air in my tires I heard nothing, but did keep putting my head inside the car to check the pressure the screen. 😢

First off welcome to the forum. What type of TLX do you drive?

To answer your question have a look at page 508 in the guide. It talks about the different scenarios for the TPMS fill assist system. The car does need to be in the On position for the TPMS fill assist to work.
