The Acura TLX-GT is running on a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. It sounds like a lot of fun, and it looks like a lot of fun too judging from this video that shows it in action at the World Challenge Mid Ohio Race.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xc_nYmRmx8The motor was relocated so far back in the chassis, it’s barely visible when peering beneath the hood. It even has the AWD system for the front wheels located in front of the engine. Dressed in four 315mm-wide Pirelli slicks, the TLX-GT would have tortured its front tires with the weight of the engine, differential and axles bearing down on the Italian rubber. With that bulk shifted to a more central location—something akin to a front-mounted mid-engine installation—the TLX-GT is blessed with exceptional poise and balance as the motor rides shotgun with RTR owner/driver Peter Cunningham at the controls.
