I just bought a wireless Bluetooth dongle and plugged it in the center console instead of connecting my phone to that port with a cable. My phone automatically connects to it when the car starts. Wireless carplay or android auto is much easier and no issues with overheating.I alway place my Samsung phone on the charging pad when I plug into Android Auto via the USB/C connection. Never thought to shut off the Charging Pad before plugging into AA. Today, when I removed the phone after a long trip I noticed that the phone was extremely warm. I realize that wireless charging does cause some heat, but this was excessive. So my question....does using both charging methods simultaneously result in reducing the life of the battery? Does everyone shut off the wireless charging before plugging into AA? Looking for some thoughts on this issue.
