Out of the blue my trunk will not open. I used both of my key fob, inside door trunk release button, and also the outside trunk release button. Nothing works. I even check on the glove box and the switch is On. But for some reason when I am was sitting in my car and press the key fob or the button by the door, I can hear a soft sound of a "click" by the driver side footwell. Not sure what that might be. Only way I can open my trunk right now is the rear deck using the key to open it manually.

I'm thinking to see if I can try to disconnect the car battery and reconnect and see if that will reset everything.

Like to see if there any other insight out there that have this issue.

Not knowing where you located, we here in Western NY have had some freezing rain that played havoc on doors, mirrors and trunks.
I do recall a "secret" location to open trunk with a dead battery. See this post for 2015+ models to see if there is similar "secret" trunk release for your 2021+

I’m from California. I did find a secret key slot on the rear deck. I disconnected the battery and reconnected but still not working using key, inside button and outside trunk button. So dunno what other option. I was trying to look into my fuse box to see what fuses for the trunk release but can’t find anything…

Crazy idea!! There is an emergency trunk release in the trunk. Send someone small (with the rear seats down for a quick exit, if needed) in the locked trunk to use that emergency release. Maybe there is something preventing the trunk from opening?
Get a PDF of the owners manual and search for "Emergency Trunk Opener" (p138 in the 2022 pdf I looked at)

I have a 21 manual booklet so I guess the 22 manual info is off. I don't see anything about "Emergency Trunk Opener" for 21 manual. Only thing it does say if the trunk cannot be open just go to the rear deck and use the key to open the trunk manually.

I'll see if my friend works for Honda HQ and see if there's any fuse that might have blown. What's funny as I mention before is when I press the trunk release button inside the car, I hear a single faint "click" sound. So there's gotta be some power or something.

I tried the trunk button and I could hear the "soft sound of a click by the driver footwell" and a louder sound from the truck area at the same time - when the trunk was opening or already opened.
Let us know the end solution, many time we never hear how things end up.:(

Yes I do hear a soft click on foot well but not a loud sound on the rear trunk on my. So I assume it might be a bad relay since there is power. I don't think its the trunk actuator or plug or cable. I did see somewhere on Youtube maybe a bad ground which I double since the car is fairly new. I will bring in my car this Saturday to the dealer and have them look into and what will be the issue.

To update my issue. Before heading to the dealership this morning, my trunk inadvertently pops open when I was in my garage. My key fob, rear trunk button, inside door trunk release button all works. Since I had an appointment so I just drove up and have them check on my battery or other things. Battery checks out good just need to crank it more or drive around more to recharge. My question is MAYBE the actuator might have issue or wiring might have intermittent issue. But for now they can’t pin point the issue since everything works. So ya….. it works all of the sudden….

I will not be buying another Acura because of my intermittent infotainment issue that they can't solve. Good luck on yours. Hope it never shows back up but I'd suggest just driving to the dealer immediately if it happens again...if that's a possibility.
