TLX transmissions are known for their: Bucking, jerking or needing to look in the rearview mirror to see who hit you (type of feeling). You can return to Acura and complain and they will likely do a software update. You can also search on this board how to reset the transmission - often that can work wonders.

Thank you so much. You described the movement of the transmission perfectly. lol I will see if they have a software update at the dealership. I don't know if I trust myself to reset my own transmission.

9speed trans sucks! No friction plates like other zf trans do to front compact design. Nothing can do out it.
Heres the copy of the Acura TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for the dealer to follow For transmission shifting.
Only two gears are dog clutches the other 7 use friction clutches.

Doesn’t work. Try on many tlx. 9speed is garbage.

8 speed Tlx trans are amazing. Haven’t seen any issue.

I love my 2018 I4 8 speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). It shifts so smoothly you never know that it has shifted except.by watching the TAC.
