Does anyone know the shift points of Sport and Sport + modes:
Does it automatically upshift at the redline?
Does it automatically downshift to maintain a certain minimum RPM?

That's no fun!

That is what I do for the most part but when I want to let lose and have some fun I go through the gears hitting high RPM's all the way through, it's fun :D

It looks like Sport + mode shifts at the redline if you keep the gas pedal floored.
Does Sport mode shift sooner (at lower RPM)?

I wonder if the troubles with the DCT vary depending upon the mode (sport vs normal or econ)?
Does the lurching happen only in sport modes?
Does the hunting for gears happen only in normal or econ mode.
Is there a mode in which the problems do not happen?

In my case, I've been experiencing lurching and hesitation in shifting in Sport and Normal as well, don't use Econ so can't tell.

J233,
Thanks for the response.
I was thinking of replacing my 2000 TL with a TLX.
Do not need the V6 and do not like the DCT troubles.
I thought maybe I could work around the problems by driving in sport mode.

Well, I just posted about today's experience under a different thread; I was in the Sport mode and still experienced the problem (at the end of the journey home when car was worm)
