They are really looking into putting the CTR (2.0L Turbo) powertrain in the TLX.

TLX Type-S

6-speed manual but most likely FWD(MPG reasons) and less than 310hp (something like 300/300) to keep the RLX flagship status.

Will have SH-AWD

Ok wait.

So the TLX coupe will have the Civic Type R powertrain and be FWD only

the TLX Type S will be SH-AWD with a 6MT. Any word on the engine, or is a TLX Type S simply going to be the car they should of built all along?:confused:

Looking at the TLX production model and imagining it as a coupe has me imagining something with proportions similar to a Scion TC..

Not too bad as a coupe but I think if Acura wants to bring out a coupe that they create a whole new coupe, not a coupe version of something

a 6MT wont rescue sales.

truth is.. the 6MT in the TL never really sold

But having a 6MT makes people excited for the car. The auto is what sells.

never knew the divide between both was like that. Expected better.
at least they will scoop up a few more buyers here and there that wanted a 6 speed.

It sure does which is a good sign that they are not just trying to meet some MPG standard or anything like but to still try to cater to enthusiasts, still they need to do better
