Removing rear interior shelf?

Has anyone removed the rear shelf in a 2021 TLX? I have searched and cannot find instructions on how to properly remove it. I see it has two outside seat edges that have to removed etc. I don’t want to break anything. I have had many Honda’s and Acura’s and always done work but this one has me stumped. I have a bad rattle from music and certain engine rpms coming from under the rear shelf. I tried removing the rear trunk carpet strip but could not fix it from there. I really don’t want to have a dealer grease it all up etc. 😀 I like taking care of these things myself. Thanks

If it's a rattle and it's a 2021....have you talked to the dealer about it?

No they are over 500 miles away. I would rather fix it myself than have a guy at my local understaffed dealer tear apart my new car and leave grease everywhere which I have had .happen in the past on other vehicles. Why I'm asking if anyone has a breakdown of it.

Fair enough. I work 2 1/2 miles from my dealership and heads would roll if they left grease behind in my car. Best of luck on the project though. Someone posted videos about swapping out speakers. You might want to look through the threads and message them.

Any luck with this? I’ve got a rattle back there somewhere as well and want to remove the rear deck to try and locate it and dynamat everywhere I can in hopes to fix/drown out the rattle.

I have the same thing going on with mine it seems to be on the passenger side.

Have you looked into the dealership or yourself fixing it? Is it intermittent? Mine typically doesn't do it first thing in the morning but by lunch it's back. I'd really like to figure this out. Anyone else have the same issue?
FWIW, I had a rattle in my rear deck and mentioned it to my dealer when I was in for the standard service.

They said there was a striker plate that was loose that was rattling around. I’m assuming it was a striker plate for the seat back latch, but I’m not certain so that’s something to consider looking at.

Thank you very much for the information. It has crossed my mind many times that it could be something related to the seat belt housing as it has that kind of “tapping” sound. I will surely check in to this.
Heard this again this evening, had the time to investigate and its definitely something on the inside, it seems to be more towards the rear of the car it can clearly be heard even standing out side the vehicle even when the doors and trunk is closed. I'm waiting until my puddle lights come in before I go to the dealer for service next, I'm sick and tired of going to be honest.

I also had a similar vibration from the rear 9 months ago, the dealer gave me the car with the tires inflated to about 50 psi, and going over grooved pavement (construction) it was constant noise, I fixed the tire pressure and haven't noticed it again. Also about 8 months ago I had a similar noise to what I hear now, brought it to the dealer thought it was a blown speaker in the back, they heard it too and determined it was the door speaker.
