Rear Bumper Question

I may be extremely unobservant, but does the TLX have a small divot on the rear bumper, on the top, in the very middle? This would run perpendicular to the bumper. I ask, because I never noticed it before, and I may have a dent that I didn't know about. It is positioned exactly in the middle though, and looks like it could be on purpose? I have never seen it before, and before a body shop tells me I am crazy, I wanted to see if you had one too.

Here's a closeup of my bumper. Can you tell from this picture?

Can't tell there, but here are some shots after I gave the car a good warshing.

Sometimes its invisible, sometimes it is clear as day. Am I damaged, or has this always been here? :crying:

BTW, sorry if the pics are sideways or upside down. I give up on this phone. Or maybe its just my crappy Windows 8.1.

Yea, I can see that without seeing it in person, it would be hard to see. It is in the 2nd two pics, like a trench in the very middle of the bumper. It is noticeable only in certain light.

But thinking about this, I know Acura makes something called an "applique", but I wonder if there is a chrome or plastic bumper guard that is made..
Ok. I think I see it in your 3rd picture. It's harder to see on a white car but I believe mine has the same thing.
I just went out to the garage to check mine. I don't see anything like I see in the picture of the black car.

I cannot see anything noticeable in the white car.

I just went out to the garage to check mine as well. There is no pronounced crease but it does kind of slope down to the middle.

If possible I think your best bet would be to maybe check another TLX for yourself to compare.

Here are a few pictures that I just took. Hard to see anything like that on a white car through pictures.

Thanks for the input guys. There is a definite notch when you run your hands across the bumper. It is possible this happened during the install of the Aero Kit, but also a million other things could have happened. If it continues to bug me, I figure this would be an easy PDR.

Im confused. All I really see is the areas where the trunk lid would overlap at the edges.
I don't see anything either, just orange peel on the paint, which is quite normal on new cars but horrible for someone picky like me to see :D
I have the same as you. Must be a kind of bent due to plastic molding
Yeah there is a small crease in the center of the bumper. It's hardly noticeable but it's there. You have to have the right light to see it though. I tried to get a picture of it tonight and it wasn't happening.
I was just taking out the trash and decided to take a look. I can see a slight indentation if the light is just right. That is a single light that looks two because of the indentation.

I can't see it, but I can certainly feel a small indentation in the middle of the bumper when I lightly rub my fingers over it.
Phew!! thank you all who did a self inspection! You have put my mind at ease. I guess it just took 5 months, and a fresh coat of spray wax to notice it. :)

Happy Friday All!

It's a weird imperfect for a bumper to have, especially at the rear.

Maybe it might be due to the molding process with initial batches. Quite possible future batches might have this corrected.
