Welcome to the Forum!hi everyone, just picked up my 2015 Canadian model TLX tech package w/oem kit.
last year I bought a 2010 TSX, white, 6spd. while I liked the car, and de-uglified it, I was plagued with the everlasting VTC problem. I was about to add some rims and drop it but after Acura changing the VTC 5 times with still no solution I decided to get out of it. I always had my eye on the TLX but they weren't out yet when I bought the TSX. been driving acuras since I was 16, I built an integra that had a built motor I put together myself and turbo'd it, suspension and basically everything. anyways pics:

i'll be picking up some clean looking 20's soon, and I have a buddy who owns one of the best import parts shops in Ontario researching a quality coilover setup for me now.
I plan on taking it for a nice drive this weekend up the Niagara falls back roads to get a feel for the car and break it in. i'll be sure to walk with my camera.
LOL it is. actually i prefer cars with an actual color, ive always liked white but my integra is teal green, i had an RSX that was black (i detail as a hobby and owning a black car really does suck lol looks fantastic when it's clean). i wish they made the TLX in a milano red. i would have gotten that but the white looks sharp! The white car addiction is strong
I come from a history of white cars and I find it hard to go with other color options.
Were you considering any other colors before deciding to go with white?
Thank you! nice little community you guys have going on here.Welcome to the Forum!
Glad to see your first post,
glad to see you are enjoying your new TLX and
glad you took the time to introduce yourself and your new TLX.
Thanks for the pix!![]()
thanks! i actually have never owned another brand outside of acura/honda. i have my mom to thank for that, she bought a brand new milano red integra back in 1994, ever since that i've been hooked. i've driven many different brands and personally Acura just sticks with me. i've crossed shopped many cars and for me the TLX checked off all the boxes. first car was my Integra that i got when i was 16 which i still have, then i drove many integras for daily duty, a few civics for winter beaters, bought a RSX that i made look like a DC5R but unfortunally got into a big accident with it and wrote it off (loved that car) then the TSX which was acura certified used, and now that TLX, my first brand new carWelcome to the forum. I always find it interesting when someone sticks with a brand for a long time. Have you ever bought a car that isn't an Acura?
You sound like you are pretty handy with vehicles. Any mods planned other than new rims?
wuddup dumbass! lolol want to go for a cruise on saturday morning?Go back to CSi you bum![]()

for mods, this car has a lot of things already that i feel it doesn't need to much, keep in mind this is my everyday car. i like the clean look, so drop with a nice set of wheels will go a long way imo. aside from that, i find that the subwoofer in the TLX is lacking, the sub in the TSX was much better which is weird to me because it only had the premium system instead of the higher end ELS system. i don't want to rattle my teeth out with bass but i think that 1 10" will be more than enough, i'm still thinking about how to go about this, if i can fit a small box and squeeze a single 10" in that compartment in the trunk or to get a shallow box; or i might make a fiberglass custom box to fit the contour of the corner of the trunk and wrap it in black suede. i'll tap off the OEM sub and use it as a pre-out, that way i can still control the sub from the oem deck.

one question for you guys, my outside temp isn't giving me a read out, it just says "---oC" am i missing something here? didn't see how to display it in the manual.
Your Honda engine was delivered with an oil that is specially formulated for new engines that have not yet developed their "natural" wear patterns and may contain minute particles from the manufacturing process.
American Honda strongly recommends this special oil be left in the engine long enough for these wear patterns to develop, usually until the first maintenance interval specified in your Owner's Manual, based on your specific driving conditions.
i saw that, but after 1700kms under various load pistons rings will seat and bearings will be coated. rather not have the metal floating around for another 2500kms before the first oil change. the oil is probably nothing more than one grade thicker that it comes with from the factory.Oil change before required for the first time:
I found this in the Motor Oil FAQ's
