Had our new SHAWD Elite for a couple of days in the rain but the sun is out today! It is slate silver but it sure looks blue in certain light. The TLX follows generally good experience with 04 and 09 TL's.

The TLX is certainly a few cuts above the 09 in a number of areas besides in the many new technology features. The relative quietness is amazing and the ride comfort is great yet it still offers some true sport in the IDS options. However, in the 09 TL I relied on the rapid response of the paddles to shift down for breaking. I know that there are a lot more ratios in the TLX but it still seems sluggish to react when shifting down, at least in normal. Is this my imagination or??

All in all, a great car so far but there is still so much to learn and use!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. It's good to get your opinion.
Yes, it is a bit sluggish, agree. If you want to downshift and get the effect quickly you need to click down at least 3 gears to notice the rpms going up

Yes, I've seen a few more now out on the west coast Vancouver westside but still not too many just yet. Congrats on the car and yes it does seem a little sluggish out the gate but great mid-range on it. You'll get a lot of people who feel it isn't above the '09 but I'm not one of them. What you lose in extra horsepower and a possible manual transmission you get with better design and more ergonomic and payload engineering with this car. Not a performance step up but better in every other way. Kudos.
