Just signed to trade my MDX for an AWD TLX Elite, Slate Silver with ebony interior. It will be my 4th Acura but I have never been this excited about any of them before. Should arrive in about 3 weeks. Can't wait to get my hands on it!!

Welcome to the Forum!

Congratulations and Welcome to the Forum! I see this is your first post.

I know what you mean about the excitement and anticipation. I found it was worth the wait. Hope you do as well.

There is a lot of tech in the car. Hopefully in three weeks you will have it all figured out.:)
Definitely a big change. The MDX is a great vehicle and fantastic in winter, but the handling of the TLX will be so much better. With winter tires it should be quite good in the snow, too.
Welcome to the club. You'll probably save a bunch on gas too.
welcome to the boards and congrats. I'm not sure about saving gas though, the better dynamics may induce more, er, naughty behavior ;):D

I'm sure I'll save on gas. I have been averaging close to 15L/100km in the MDX. Pretty dismal.

I remember when I had an RDX with the turbo, it was way too tempting to have fun. But I think having 2 little ones in the back most of the time will help to keep me in check. :) We'll see. They often ask me to go faster and to pass other cars lol

see, how can you say no to that ;) I've got a little niece I get out on the ATV from time to time, she figured out how a thumb throttle works so now shes stopped asking for faster and she just presses my thumb :D;) God they're difficult to deal with... :D

My son does this too. There could be a car right in front of me and he'll tell me to go faster. I just end up making the "vrrrooom" noise to appease him.

So does my son and he's 32!
It bothers me when people honk for you to go faster and there are pedestrians right in front of you. As if you are just supposed to run them over.
Yay!! Picking up my TLX this Friday. Can't wait.

Congratulations. I know the anticipation must be getting to you.:)
It is. I'm just setting up the AcuraLink stuff right now. I'm tempted to play with the door locks etc while it is sitting at the dealer lol

Yeap... I have to admit that I play with this thing often :) I always have a fear that I left the car with the doors unlocked so I check the status from my phone at my desk.
The app is not 100% perfect. Don't panic when you see a list of failed services and alerts when you remotely check the status. This happens often when your vehicle is parked in a covered parking space - I learned it the hard way :)
the first time i checked the car's status, everything needed service and i was freaking out. but after a refresh it's okay now

also i find the fuel level to fluctuate as much as 5%
Right now I can see that they are doing something with it. The hood is open, the doors are closed and unlocked, and my odometer is at 5km. Every system is showing a malfunction. I think I am going to like this feature.

Awesome!

Keep us posted on it, with pictures if you can.
BTW I hope you have started looking into accessories and some must have's like getting a paint protector applied.
I am going to have the hood film and also the door edge film applied since I have 5 yr old twins and they like to open the doors.
