If you do take it off, please take pictures and make a quick how to guide if you have time.Mine is 2015. Yeah. as soon as you notice distortion on your back up camera take it in for warranty. My camera would be fine during sunny days as moisture dry and rainy days comes back. Now seems like permanently wet inside the camera and I can’t see anything. I will try to disassemble and clean the lense before I replace the camera.
Hi Jimmy, I have the same problem and I was wondering what year was the CRV camera you looked up was it also a 2015 and does that even matter ? I have a 2015 TLX 2.4 fwd is that the model you have or the 3.5 v6? . Also is it possible to post the part number as it will be easier for me to order. Thank you very much.Hi guys. Here is an update on my backup camera. I took out the camera assembly (getting to it was very easy) but I couldn’t take the camera apart. It was impossible. So I looked up the part number online and it was very close to CRV except for the last four digits. Picture also looked identical. I found CRV camera on eBay for $28 and gave it a try. I also noticed there are a lot of complaints about foggy backup camera for CRV so I figured Honda uses same for majority of their vehicles. It took two weeks for the camera to arrive and moment of truth.... it was perfect fit and it worked!!! Only thing doesn’t work was different views settings but I don’t think I ever used different views so doesn’t bother me. Spent less than $30 vs $315 dealer quoted me for the part so I am very pleased. Here are some pictures including before and after.
Sorry for the late response. Yes it is straight plug and play change and you will have to remove trunk liners to get to the camera. Make sure to wear gloves as metals under the liners are very sharp. Hope everything goes well.I really hope it's that easy . I received the conformation email saying my order is on it's way so we'll see soon enough.
