I want someone to explain the IDS system to me. I just purchased the base model TLX in silver slate. They told me at the dealership Rizza Acura, that I could shift between econ, normal,sport and sport+ anytime I wanted.What concerns me is when coming off the expressway can I shift from sport+ to econ ,when I am cutting my speed from 75mph down to 30mph or less.Will this hurt the transmission?I know it is ok to go from normal to sport then to sport+ when accelerating. I would like someone to explain the whole thing to me. Thanks, Bobbo1234

Also, here is the screenshot from the manual that explains pretty well the same thing.
I've switched between all modes while driving and there is no harm to the car. My salesperson also told me there is no harm to switch while underway.
