Maybe I just now noticed this in Texas because it has not been too hot, with all of the rain we have received...

..but has anyone else noticed that switching from Econ mode to Normal mode actually changes the AC fan slightly? I don't remember reading anything about this, but I guess the fuel savings in Econ also comes from cutting back power on certain electrical components. Is anything else affected by Econ mode, that you know of?

I remember reading somewhere econ also cuts off active noise control/reduction to reduce load on the car.

I remember reading somewhere that the AC is hindered when the car is stopped in Econo. As @EbonyGraph mentioned, ANC increases to make a quieter ride, while it is lessened in Sport mode to allow more engine noise into the cabin.

Maybe someone can find the documentation somewhere.

It's too bad I get the sluggish feeling while driving in Econo.

The AC running increases the load on the engine which could degrade the fuel economy. Having it turn off or work slightly less can increase the fuel economy. My Genesis does the same thing.
