Hey guys, I decided to buy carbon fiber trim parts for my A spec but when I installed it, the ambient lighting would not work. I know that the carbon fiber piece uses RGB whereas my original piece is red, but would that make a difference? When I checked on some websites they said it would work. Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, and besides — doesn’t your A-Spec already use RGB lights? Mine does…

Do you have a 2018-2020 A-Spec? I ask b/c those only had red. IIRC, in the diagnostic menu there seemed to be a setting to change the color which didn't seem to do anything.

No, this is the 2021 A-spec, seems to be that the type s lighting isn’t compatible with the a spec. Gonna try to play around with wiring. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yea, im not sure. I think the main problem right now is that the wiring is different between the 2. I don’t really mind if I can’t adjust/change colours, I just want it to show something haha.

Maybe at the very worst, you can wire it to run either just the red, blue, or green LEDs, or maybe all together so it looks white.

hopefully I can do that. I personally love the straight red interior!
