I'm not sure what this means for the previous post I made about the TLX making its racing debut just two days from now (March 28), but Acura now says that the TLX GT race car will debut at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix on May 30th.
Acura hasn't released performance specs, but they have confirmed that the model will run on a twin-turbo V6 engine that is loosely based on the 3.5-liter V6 that resides in the 2015 TLX which will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show.
The TLX GT race car will compete aginst the likes of the Audi R8 LMS, Cadillac CTS-V, Mercedes SLS & Ferrari 458.
I would be pretty impressed if the TLX could out run the R8. The Audi R8 just looks like a beastlier machine than the TLX, but it isn't about looks on the race track. At least if Acura can show that the TLX is a better race car than the R8 they can argue that their design may not be as exciting, but the machinery underneath it is world class.
Nothing yet from what I have seen. Recently I heard the Lexus RC-F GT cars smoked everything off the line and through a good part of the race and maybe till the end, hopefully the TLX didn't get left in the dust
I bought a 2019 TLX AWD, loaded. At first I thought there was something on the front windshield because I had noticed some tree sap on the paint. So I cleaned it all up and didn't think about it until lately when I've been driving east in the morning and west at night. I found that when the Sun...
The more time I spend with this car the more I love it and it's not just the fact that it's a technological marvel but also the little things that I notice and and find very useful and have never had in any of my previous cars.
I just noticed these little hooks on the B pillars that serve the...
...or so all the reviewers say. V6 doesn't shift smoothly. The I4 is underpowered but get that option if you must buy this car. Forget cornering. Back seat is cramped. Inferior materials. Pedestrian styling. Technology is antiquated. It's not reliable. I liked the aluminum beak, turns out! Yeah...
Hey all, just got my 2019 TLX with Tech package. I have been really impressed with the car. I am big into music, and I think the ELS studio has been decent. However there are a few points that are in my head making me wonder if it is better than other systems out there considering different...
So, I've 36,000 miles on this car and its been a pleasure, except for 1 thing....
I've had it in the shop 11 times for a persistent issue with 61-12 Stability/Brake system error. At first it was very bad and a new controller module fixed most of it. Since then the error only occurs with the...
