Hey guys so recently I purchased an Acura TLX 2015 Tech AWD and I realized that when backing up the image in the screen is entirely grey. The parking lines still move and shift but there is no view of the rear. I asked the dealership service center and he suggested it might be fogged up but this doesn't appear to be fog it seems the screen is just grey. Look at the picture below.

Did you try changing the view to see if you get a picture on a different view? I would start there.

Hi, yes I tied changing the views already and I tried resetting the camera settings to defualt too.

Check for a bad fuse.
Follow the wiring and check the voltage.
Or, take it to the dealer.

Wait I know I know.... Did you take the lens cap off after taking delivery

Seriously, I would guess the camera needs to be replaced... if you have any ability on car care you can search the forum and do it yourself.. heck by a new camera on eBay and just connect it... its prob cheaper than the Stealer and might just be the issue. If so then you can do a replacement yourself.

Hey yeah I realized it seems like a faulty camera, I ordered one from ebay I read on this forum somewhere that a honda crv one fits. I'm just not sure how to open the camera slot at the back, does anyone have a video on it?

Moisture in back up camera

Hi guys. Does anyone have instruction how to disassemble back up camera? It was getting fogged up when it rains and worked fine during sunny days. Now my warranty expired and permanently fogged up now can’t see anything. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Some have had issues but I would guess only about 4 have had issues on this forum.

I have not had issues with my 2015...but I live in the south.
I believe the issue is that the seal on the lens fails and then moisture gets in and freezes.

Anyway guys here's an update as I finally got my camera and installed it and it worked!! I bought this from Aliexpress US $17.28 25% OFF|39530 T0A A001 M1 Rear View Back Up Park Assist Camera for 2012 2013 Honda CR V|Vehicle Camera| - AliExpress it was like $28 CAD at the time and I got it a bit late but I guess it was delayed due to COVID-19. Anyway, I installed it today and my camera now works perfectly fine! The guided lines maneuver as well and I can change the angles as well. The toughest part for the replacement was plugging back the cable into the slot because the cable is very short and you don't have enough space to work with so I used two long screw drivers to guide it into the slot.
