Does the app work with a 2019 TLX?

This is a used car and it show subscriptions valid till 2022 but It may have been set up for the previous owner since I'm unable to add a PIN. Do I just need to call Tech Support?

Thanks!

Call the customer support line and you will be forced to deal with some very nasty people. They will do everything possible to make your call unpleasant, as they resent having to do their job. By the way, if you have high blood pressure and/or heart problems, I recommend that you don’t call them.

Yes, I’m guessing you’ll need to get an account created and then get the car added to your account. Customer service should be able to help you with it.

Just an update. I called and a very nice lady helped me. She explained that the VIN was still associated with the previous owner and they could update my info if I faxed them proof of ownership. Said it should be fixed in one business day.

So I called today to see if the car was still linked to the previous owner and was told to fax in the info again.

Sometimes there's a few days lag time to get these things sorted out. Nice to hear that you had a good experience with Acura Customer Service. Let us know if/when it gets resolved.

OK, so it's supposed to be set up now but the app just says connecting. Does it ever connect?
I have a 2017 TLX, and it takes about 30-60 seconds to retrieve the status. Glad you were able to fix the issue, when I bought mine CPO, I was given a 3-month trial, and it was great till a week later when I decided to install remote start (I highly recommend if you dislike the cold like me). If you go for it, do the installation of the kit yourself (cheapest price is from Curry Acura's online store) and go to the dealer to get it programmed. So anyways, after I did that, I think programming the new keys ended up resetting Acura Link, so I had to call them again to re-register the vehicle, and they were nice enough to give me an extended trial. It really depends on the rep's personality because I've gotten good and bad ones but glad to hear it's working out for you!

Well, I don't really know what I'm supposed to be seeing. It just says connecting. I thought it would eventually say connected.

View attachment 25751 This is pretty much all I get.
That’s weird, mine looks like this. Are you sure you’re using the correct app? Maybe try logging on and off? Did you click the link in the email they sent to finalize it? Reinstalling the app could possibly work. I haven’t tried out the android app but if you have an iPhone at your disposal, I recommend trying with that.

I never got the email. It said it would send an email with a link for verification but I never got an email.

Then I think they got your email wrong. Try calling them from the link button in your car and asking to correct your contact info.
Try downloading the app from here. AcuraLink | Connectivity for Smart Phones and Acura Vehicles
I think maybe it’s an iPhone only thing but I suggest you confirm the app for Android with them.

Apparently the problem is that the previous owner uninstalled the AcuraLink from the car itself. According to Tech Support. Is that even possible?

It's like it's trying to connect but the car isn't allowing the connection. She had me do a factory reset (which seems like the last resort of all tech support engineers). She told me while the phone app was trying to connect to go to the AcuraLink app on the car and open it. Except there isn't one.

And now I am told that since I have the bare basics, the app won't connect because there is nothing for it to do. This after talking to Acura Link support for nearly a month. I even had an Acura technology specialist have me factory reset my car.
