2023 TLX Misfire

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2023 TLX, I did tune it with Pherable Stage 3. The other day after getting gas I was going to get on it at a red light. When i pressed down the gas pedal, A HUGE white cloud of smoke came out of the exhaust and the car began to misfire very bad and the CEL was flashing. Ever since this happened the car doesn’t feel the same it doesn’t acccelerate the same. I am going to remove the tune and take it in for service. I am hoping the turbo isn’t blown. Any ideas?

I have an appointment with my dealership on Tuesday, Im hoping if its anything its the turbo and I didnt hurt the motor because once they see my ECU was flashed my warranty is gone. I will update everyone here once I find out.
If that is the case, just use it as an excuse to swap in an MHI Stage 2 turbo and the PRL downpipe.

Get a custom tune and you’ll be pushing near 350whp.

If the turbo is gone that was my plan, If its the motor then i don’t know what i’m going to do. Assuming my warranty is null
The K20 is weaker for the TLX. The accord is the stronger quality one. Stage 3 is going to fuck it up for most TLX

Do you happen to have any source for that?

Please, elaborate on the differences between the K20C4 and K20C6

The difference of each is the tune and mount. Foreman from Acura is my source. Very reliable

it’s the mounting points to fit in the TLX. Everything else is the same. Except the tune from the factory.

I’m aware of that, but I wanted to hear whatever nonsensical bull shit Willy would come up with.

So then explain to me why the Accord and the RDX both use the K20C4, but the RDX makes more power and torque, and the TLX uses the K20C6, but makes the same power and torque as the K20C4 in the RDX (and more than the K20C4 in the Accord).

The Accord has higher compression due to little less horse power. The RDX and TLX have the exact same compression.

Besides the mounting points and tune there is no difference in these motors. The K20C motors are very robust and if anything are over built. Now the L15 turbo motors is another story,

This isn't true at all. I also have owned 2 2.0T Accords and a 2017 Type R. The Type R motor is the only one that there are differences but they still have a lot of similarities.

The Accord community has many people blow their stock turbos when tuned or even stock. Turbos fail, even in Hondas.

To say the K20C6 is not as robust is 100% not true.
Dirty MAP sensor. If you clean that off, I'd be willing to bet it'll be ok. I had the same issue.
