Hello all,

Recently got a used 2021 AWD A-Spec and had a question regarding the drive settings.

I was told the A-Spec does NOT have adjustable dampers, but in my Individual Drive settings, I have an option to adjust the "Suspension"; what does this do without the Advance package adjustable dampers!?

I can't feel any difference in Comfort/Normal/Sport; somewhere mentioned it changes the torque vectoring settings for the AWD but I haven't noticed any changes in the gauge cluster AWD display

That's about it, it changes the torque vectoring settings. You won't notice it in normal driving.

(and if you're driving hard enough to notice it, you probably shouldn't be watching the gauge cluster)

Would you happen to know if there are any impacts on mpg?

Probably not.

My guess is that it'll help with turn-in more aggressively, and tend to oversteer if it slips, whereas normal handling is meant to err towards safety and neutral-to-understeer.

None of this would have to do with fuel consumption, though.

I notice my Type S will consume more gas if I used Sport or Sport + mode. I also notice the difference on my suspension. I prefer normal which is more quiet and good gas mileage.

I suppose the way to test would be to use the Individual mode to set everything to Normal or Comfort, and set only the suspension to Sport, and drive like that for a tankful or two.
