I saw an old thread discussing whether this retrofit was possible and the only response i saw was that someone claimed they saw people on instagram doing it. Has anyone successfully or even attempted this retrofit because i have the wheel i just havent tried to put it in because i dont want to mess around with the airbag if someone knows for sure

Update: I connected it up to my 2018 and it did not work. I presume the pin out is different but I don’t have the diagram so I don’t know for certain.

I would not swap out your 18 steering for the 21 steering wheel because the wiring is totally off and you will set off the air bag which will causes serious injury. Just buy an aftermarket one that is SUPPOSE to be for that year and make. If you play around with the wiring, Acura will void your warranty.

I don't beleve it will work. You have completly different audio systems and different buttons on the steering wheel.
If you also swap to the android based autio it could work for you.
