Hi,

My 2015 TLX I4 DCT(purchsed new in 2015) has only 23K miles as of today. Since it never hit oil change interval (miles/year/5%), it never threw any codes on MID. I went ahead and replaced engine oil and reset oil change % reminder every year. It is over 7 years since I purchased the car, based on years, should I get DCT fluid replaced?

I am in the same boat. I have a 2015 TLX AWS with about 23,000 miles and have never had a code. Dealer has always changed my oil but has not recommended any fluid changes.

I talked to a service advisor... he said DCTs are different and won't cause as much fluid degradation like regular automatics. He said no need to change until code appears but suggested brake fluid replacement, if not already done, since it is hydroscopic.

If yours is SH-ADW, then you have a ZF 9-speed which is different than DCT. Many (I also have a 2016 MDX with ZF9) with ZF 9 speed have been replacing transmission fluid every 30K miles or so because of its rough shifts.
