So finally thd auto body shop has submitted the estimated quote to Insurance company for the approval repair work would cost $8500.
Reason why the car wasn't drivable or not starting underneath the steering column there is one switch or module which detects the pressure on the brake to get the engine started. That module or switch was broken may be due to the impact of the air bags deployment or may be the jerk ?They managed to get the car started now.

$8500??? that's it?? my fender bender was about 5grand and that was for a headlight/bumper/fender and re-paint. you're impact was much more than mine and with airbags deployed...

I agree. That accident I had last May was around 6k. I figured with your air bags going off it would be much more.

That's what I thought too, it would morethan 12 grand minimum.
It's mainly driver side fender, new bumper, repaint stuff. Headlight alone is like $1950+ labour.
Knee bolster airbags with sensors are not that costly I thought all under $1k. It's all OEM parts from the dealership.

NP- I don't think that switch has something to do with idle stop as mine is FWD so no auto idle stop / start. It's more or less like a generic brake switch which every automatic car would have this is what I guessed from what the person from auto body shop told me. This is what mentioned on the estimated quote sent out to me n insurance.
" COMPLETED TEAR DOWN AND VEHICLE WILL NOW START, THE BRAKE SWITCH WAS THE CAUSE OF THE NO START, IT WAS NOT DETECTING PUSH ON THE BRAKE TO START."
