TLX SHAWD 2015 vs 2019

Took my 2015 TLX SHAWD with 56,000km in for service and received a 2019 TLX SHAWD with 1,000km as a loaner.

The 2019 seems superior to my 2015 in every respect:-
- transmission is smoother and more responsive;
- engine/exhaust has more of a growl (my car almost sounds like an electric car);
- steering is more responsive with more road feel;
- ride feels firmer.

I drove a 2019 as well.. I also appreciated the extra "features" too.

- Fast info system
- Digital recorder with audio system
- Love the new look
- The ability to paddle shift 3 gears (can do that in the 2015 but only in Sport + mode)
- Rear heated seats
- Rear door unlock buttons
- Few other things
- (Didn't notice the tranny smoothness as mine is smooth)

At the end of the day the cost for a trade in and purchase wasn't worth it for me. But I agree Acura did a nice change.

The biggest difference for me was the ride/suspension. The 2019 was way more comfortable compared to my 2015 which feels very bumpy when going over pot-holes, bumps and manholes. Did you notice that too? I spoke to dealer but they want to charge me to do an inspection of my suspension.

I can't say any differences stood out. Perhaps its s tire different or inflation issue. I suppose you could have a bad strut or something.... but on the fender in each corner of the car... if they all "bounce / respons" the same then it's prob. not the struts. Sway bars (not even sure if the TLX has 'em)
