Has anybody put on a hitch? So you can take your bike with. Rack or hitch or trunk hitch? I looked into racks but cost around $500 for racks without bike rack. I chose hitch. I bought a curt trailor hitch and put it in less then a hour. No drilling or cutting. I spent less then $200.

Do you have a link to the hitch you bought? I have 2019 TLX but the curt trailer hitch I found on their web site requires trimming the heat shield and I am not sure I want to do that (warranty, etc.). I am extremely reluctant to use a trunk bike rack (I used Jaris Bones on my previous car) because it would scratch the paint.

I was able to fit a medium size road bike into my 2019 TLX today with the front wheel removed and placed in separately. Bike lays on its side with the rear wheel facing toward the front of the car and slides straight in. (rear seat backs folded down) Front wheel lays to one side in the rear part of the trunk floor. Close, but I'm able to shut the trunk lid completely.

WATCH INSTALL FOR BOTH ON E-TRAILERS WEBSITE

I went to e-trailer.com and decided on Draw tite hitch over the Curt, after my install I think the Curt looks cleaner.
Here are some progressive photos of install.

I added in the T-wiring harness, don't tell anyone here that i haul a powered dump trailer with this car.🙈
