Consering buying TLX, need feedback

I'm considering buying 2017 TLX base model, but came across some reviews on transmission that are concerning me.

Has anyone experienced transmissions (or any other) problems on the base model, and is this a car you would recommend?

My other option is an Accord Sport, both close in price out the door.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum!

Here is a link to a post that discusses the TLX in comparison to the Accord.

Acura TLX vs. Fully Loaded Honda Accord

Are you looking at the 2.4 or the 3.5? The majority of the transmission issues were with the 2015 3.5.

I suggest having a look around the forum to see what issues to watch for and then drive the car. That should give you an idea of what to pay attention to on the test drive.

I have the 2015 3.5. Can confirm the car vibrated slightly while accelerating around 60 MPH. I took it to the dealership thinking it was the tires. They said some cars of this model and year have had transmission mount issues and identified the problem was due to the bushings wearing faster than normal. They replaced the bushings and balanced my tires. I haven't had any issues since.
