2017 Honda Civic Si Review

Quote:
Step, push, lift; step, pull, lift. Like walking, you find a rhythm driving the 2017 Honda Civic Si, even while furiously rowing its stubby, metal-trimmed gear selector and pumping the feather-light clutch.
Like other Honda shifters, the one controlling this reborn performance compactís manual transmission is a piece of art. Light and precise, it glides from gate to gate, seemingly devoid of any friction, making it an absolute pleasure to use. Thereís also a constant-mesh, helically cut reverse gear that eliminates the annoying whine Hondas used to make while backing up.

All the reviews that I've seen on YouTube over the past few days have been pretty negative. Biggest complaint was the 1.5T powerplant. They described it as "uninspiring".

What made the si great and fun to drive was its high revving vtec engine. That no longer exist for the si lineup.

I'm happy with my 2.4 TLX with 8-speed dct.
